Lacy Garrison

Lacy Garrison

I started as a client-side developer in 1998. I taught myself HTML, CSS, JS, and Flash for my first job interview. Since then I have expanded my skill set to include PHP, Java, ActionScript 2 & 3, SQL and relational database design. I have built a variety of sites ranging from web-based financial tools for Thomson Financial and Credit Suisse to beautiful, engaging sites for Garden & Gun and Nick Magazine. I love the challenge of starting a website from a blank HTML file, and refining it into a complete, functioning website. My past experiences and professional background provide a valuable knowledge base for my work. I enjoy the challenges of creative problem-solving and learning new technologies. I am equally comfortable as the sole developer on a project as I am collaborating with a team. Beyond my expertise as a developer, I contribute to a team my warm personality, strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills. I enjoy my work most when it allows me to grow as a developer, learn new technologies, and work on a variety of projects with talented team members.

What People Say About Me

"Lacy has that great and rare combination of being a technological problem-solver and a user experience problem solver. At Behavior, he always brought great value to our multidisciplinary team by being an advocate for whatever was best for the user, not just whatever was easiest to build. He was always not just willing but excited to learn new tech skills, too, as our business and projects changed over time."

— Chris Fahey, Principal/Partner, Behavior

"Lacy is a talented, user-oriented designer. He's also great about taking the time to understand and contribute to the strategies that drive his projects. I have repeatedly relied on Lacy as the go-to person when projects seem to be at risk."

— Chris Keane, Director of Marketing, KickApps Corp

"As a front-end engineer, Lacy's contributions to KickApps have been central. He always lobbies for user-focused design and produces high quality work. Lacy is a great communicator and learns new technologies very quickly."

— Huned Botee, Project Manager, KickApps Corp
